Designated Driver Program

Composed of a very active committee of bar owners/managers, O.P.P. officers, Substance Abuse Prevention team members, and the local taxi company.

Committee meets every month to discuss the Designated Driver program and how we can try to decrease drinking and driving through the use of this program.

This committee enacted a very active Designated Driver program in Fort Frances liqour-serving establishments and would like to move the program outside to area establishments.

Beginning November 2000, Pizza Hut came on board to give a free medium pizza to designated drivers who came into any participating liqour-serving establishment and filled out a short evaluation form.

Our committee used the evaluation forms for reference and the Designated Driver was rewarded with a free medium pizza.

We thank Pizza Hut for their generous donation towards this initiative.
